pair of Sampson Mordan silver salt and pepper modelled as chicks RD461360A fine pair of silver salt and pepperette chicks modelled by Sampson Mordan. The pepper is dispensed from the top of the chicks head but the salt is designed for the salt to poor out through the beak. They weigh approx 15g each and are about 4cm or 1 1 2 inches high. The number (RD 461360) can be dated to 1896 , there were two versions This pair where the heads of the chicks are removable to allow filling and the other, which are filled from below.
