All text HotPress The notes attached to the image state that "This pictorial presentation of the Dardanelles Campaign is especially designed to illustrate the joint naval and military operations in the Gallipoli Peninsula, and to enable the Public to follow the movements of the Allies in their progress to Constantinople." All prints are reproduced
which was added in 1887
built in 1888 and demolished around 1966 to make way for the City Square
Eventually the Corporation Market Buildings were demolished in the years of 1959 and 1960
with hoarding advertising the French virtuoso violinist
a contemporary report in The Australasian Sketcher stated that it 'will be of great benefit to the large audiences which so frequently assemble in this building for concerts

and this photo shows two of the five divers who were boring holes into the rocky falls
taken around 1902
Further up Bourke Street
acting Lieutenant John Murray commanding HMS Lady Nelson entered the Bay on the 14th February 1802 and named it Port King in honour of the Governor of New South Wales at the time
