The Wedding Dance Art Print by Bruegel the ElderThe Wedding Dance is a display of the guests at a peasant wedding dancing merrily in celebration surrounding the wife dressed in black which was the custom of the Renaissance era.
Hera/Juno spills her breast milk whilst nursing the infant Heracles/Hercules
The work went to the Royal Alcazar of Madrid in 1666 and now hangs in the Museo del Prado in Madrid
Displaying the subjects in profile was a common style of the time and was inspired by ancient coins
The pose in the Rembrandt Self Portrait at 53 print is reminiscent of several earlier works by Rembrandt
It is currently housed at the Pinacoteca di Brera in Milan
he cut his cloak in half and shared it with the beggar
He later created another self-portrait which was commissioned by Pope Julius II for the Vatican fresco focusing on the School of Athens
The original Narcissus print is now displayed by the Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Antica which is in Rome
