The album was produced by Jah Thomas and Keatting is backed by the Roots Radics Band. The album was then mixed by the legendary Scientist at King Tubby's studio. Released on CD for the first time, Weekend Lover comes with the bonus track 'Money Man Skank', which wasn't included on the original album.
