India Medal 1895 - 1902This medal replaced the earlier India General Service Medal which had covered the campaigns from 1854, and featured the older portrait of Queen Victoria until 1901 when Edward VII assumed the throne. The ribbon is crimson and green representing the heraldic colour of Britain and the sacred colour of the prophet.
