The wide, exaggerated HD (hiza deru, or 'knee goes out') shape is created by darts sewn into the waist and hem, giving the pants a striking dimensionality and a loose, comfortable feeling. The BDU version, inspired by the US Battle Dress Uniform, features cargo pockets and drawstrings in the waist and hems.
