Glenlivet 1973-1996 | Scott's Selection
Description
Glenlivet 1973-1996 | Scott's SelectionSpeyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky Bottled by: Scott's Selection 70cl 54. 5% A 1973 Glenlivet bottled in 1996 without colouring or chill filtration at its natural cask strength of 54. 5% by Robert Scott & Co. for their Scott's Selection range. Independent bottlings of Glenlivet are extremely rare, so kudos to Robert Scott for unearthing this 1973 cask and bottling it in its natural state. Scott's Selection bottled a lot of great whiskies in this era,
A fast selling and justifiably popular mystery Laphroaig
Blended Scotch Whisky70 Proof / 26 2/3 fl
Dangerous stuff
An old James MacArthur's bottling of 12-year-old Allt-A-Bhainne from the 1990s
This is a velvety and indulgent dram
adding liquorice and stewed apple with cinnamon
which makes it an even better thing that it was rescued by Signatory Vintage before being poured into one of joint owners Diageo and Edrington's blending vats
ideal for sipping while contemplating life’s complexities
and they're also amazing value for any longtime malt fans looking for a decent everyday dram
Just like the Two-Fold this whisky was also a gold medal winner at the 2020 San Francisco Spirits Awards
but it's frustrating for curious single malt fans
An old USA version of Bowmore 1964 Fino Cask
